• Three-quarters of luxury car drivers are broke, according to a Lamborghini salesman recently profiled by car enthusiast site MotorBuscuit.com. “75% are financed,” the salesman, Ed Bolian, says. “Not because they got a low interest rate. It’s because they can’t afford it.” Data from Cox Automotive backs him up: Just 8.5% of drivers in vehicles over $100k bought their car outright. Nearly one third are just leasing.
